In winter, too, the Schnalstal Valley is a paradise for enthusiastic hikers: Snowshoeing is a romantic way to get acquainted with the Schnalstal Valley when it’s deep in snow. When the snow is too deep for hiking, one gladly turns to the cosy inns and taverns which are open year round. There one can warm up and re-energise with cakes and pastries or mulled wine. The Schnalstal Valley Tourism Association offers guided tours for beginners accompanied by a mountain guide. The snowshoe hike begins in Maso Corto with a gentle ascent from the Kofelhöfe farms to the Lagauntal Valley. The hike returns the same way after a short stop to admire the beautiful winter landscape.
Duration: approx. 3 hrs.
Cost: approx. €20 per person incl. equipment – please bring winter-proof clothing and sturdy footwear (hiking boots)
