My attic, with its draughty floorboards, was the ideal spot to store precious food. Back then, if you ventured to the top floor for a handful of flour or a piece of bread, you could catch a glimpse of the stars twinkling through the roof. Don’t worry, the gaps in the slanted ceiling are long gone. But it does have a magical skylight that invites you to become a stargazer yourself.
My staff are keeping the hotel and restaurant closed at the moment, so that we can be back at full strength for you from 29 May. Nevertheless, they are there for you by phone and email!
